I am a graduate of the College of DAAP at the University of Cincinnati, holding a bachelor's degree in Art Education, with a concentration in Ceramic Sculpture. I was born in Cincinnati and lived there until moving to Lexington in 2005, then to Nicholasville in 2009. I hadn't practiced art-making more than sporadically since graduating college, until a few years ago, when I decided to make all of my family's Christmas gifts. I had a slew of chalk pastels and charcoal I'd been carting around since the '90's, and decided I'd polish my rusty drawing skills and see if I couldn't create some drawings good enough to give that year. I was hooked, and I haven't stopped drawing since!
I find being a member of the Creative Art League is so helpful and educational for a whole host of reasons. I am among some very talented, passionate artists, and I am confident that together, we will see the arts community in the area continue to strengthen and have a positive impact on the people who live here.
I have a small studio at home, and work on drawings of subjects that inspire and hold meaning to me, as well as doing commissioned work for others. I have work at a few galleries, have had work in numerous exhibits, and plan to continue finding new avenues to show and sell my work. I have a lot of lost time to make up for, and strive to continue to grow, learn, and share through art.
