Bill Jones, an artist of many mediums, will have his newest work on display Friday, June 9 from 5-8 pm at the Jessamine County Law Library at 109 N. Main in downtown Nicholasville. This body of work stretches beyond merely using the paintbrush as the tool for applying color to the surface. Stop by, meet Bill and see what cool things he is doing. This exhibit is part of the second 2017 Gallery Walk and is sponsored by the Nicholasville Tourism Commission.
The colorful paintings of Lexington artist, Maria Bowen, will be on display during the Friday, June 9th, Gallery Walk. These paintings can be viewed at the Old Jail, 200 South Main in downtown Nicholasville--one of the regular Gallery Walk venues. The Gallery Walk is 5:00-8:00 and is a great time to come downtown Nicholasville.

This week the Polvino Family Art Center celebrated its third birthday. Our grand opening was June 5, 2014. We are celebrating by staging our 41st exhibit in our space with our June 9 Gallery Walk. The very popular JCAL (Junior Creative Art League) summer program is open for registration for kids 6-11 years old. These Sunday afternoon art classes are taught by Staci Goggins and Hope Soch, two of Jessamine County's certified art teachers. The kids learn various art techniques, experiment with many art mediums and create really high quality art work. The final Sunday is an exhibit of all the work created by the students to which family and friends are invited. Register online under the Tickets/Registration tab or email CALJessamine@gmail.com
