Today, 74 fifth graders from Rosenwald Dunbar Elementary School, together with parents and teachers, paid a visit to the Polvino Family Art Center to see the exhibit of paintings by Andy Sims and to meet the artist. During their 45 minute visit to the Art Center, these kids listened to Andy describe his day job as the Commonwealth's Attorney for Jessamine and Garrard Counties as well as his methods for painting his high color, pop art paintings. The students had the opportunity to tell Andy about the kind of art they make and to question him as to the "story" behind his paintings.
